#The50 Things Every Creative Should Know Response

"#The 50 Things Every Creative Should Know" by Jamie Wieck, is an interesting, realistic article. This post, I believe would be relative to most college students, as well as graduates. Most of the points made are struggles of everyone in and out of college life. One point that stood out to me was the 7th, "Have a Positive Self-Image". This explains that confidence, if definitely key. The way you present yourself is the way people are going to see you. If you are professional and responsible, employers and others will view you in that way as well. After you have made your image in a great way, the world around you will see it as well. Although, through all of that it is important to stick to who you are. A big part of this article explains that you should always be improving and putting yourself out there. Without marketing yourself, it is difficult to show people who you are and what skills you have. One of the tips was to not take internships that don't pay. I don't necessarily agree with this because you don't know what doors that internship could open for you. In different scenarios this could be true, but definitely, not all the time.

Introduction

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm from Long Island, New York. I came to Florida for the amazing weather and the campus size at UT.  I work here on campus at the the front desk of my building and I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega. The beginning of this class was a little intimidating to be honest. Coding seems difficult but once I got the hang of it a little it seems manageable. I feel like I am going to learn a lot from this class and it will help with critical thinking. I am excited to use photoshop as well. I used it in high school and it appealed to me very much. I hope this class gives me some type of direction to help me decide on my future career path.
